Empowering Financial Wellness

A family wealth management firm specializing in Socially Responsible Investing. We believe in ‘doing well by doing good’.

SRI screens potential investments using positive screens to look for best corporate practices and negative screens to weed out the bad apples.

Check the background of this firm on FINRA’s BrokerCheck.

We look at the environmental impact of our investment choices. We want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

On the one hand, we avoid the “Bad Apples” that don’t treat their employees well. On the other, we look for companies that look at their “human capital” as an investment in themselves.

We identify companies that use the best practices of good corporate governance and work with those who want to improve their performance.

Our Commitments to Clients

We’re committed to working for you, with you.

Common Interests was formed in 1994 after Bob got his big office in the corner as Manager of a mid sized Insurance and Stock Brokerage branch. After succeeding by every available metric, he realized he was done with the way the industry at the time worked, and resolved to strike off on his own.

The name comes from the way Bob chooses to work with clients. When we work together, our interests become common. There are no winners, no losers, and nobody comes out on top. Problem Solving comes first, and any products we discuss are only presented as tools to solve whatever problem brought you into our office.

The end of the story is our logo: the world in an eye. This is the driver, the mechanism that meets the standards of social responsibility while looking ahead to a bright future; for ourselves and the global village in which we live.

  • To Listen

We promise to listen to our client’s concerns and needs in order to help identify and prioritize your goals, a seemingly lost art in today’s business climate.

  • To work for YOU

We promise to recommend financial services and products to meet your goals. We have no quotas, no sales requirements, and are free to work for you, in whatever way works best for you.

  • A Relationship

You should seek advice from someone you trust. We strive to establish and maintain long term relationships with our clients and act as their most trusted advisor.

  • To Stay Up To Date

We’re news junkies, so this one comes easy to us: We promise to stay current with changes in the financial environment in order to provide the most timely and correct solutions possible.
